Ever since jeans became a fashion item there has been no looking back. They are as popular as ever with a multitude of people owning a pair. From the rebellious years in the 1950s with men and women bringing the working clothes to the streets, women are the top buyers of jeans.

This is not actually a style of jeans but is different for every woman out there. One might think that easy fit is comfortable while another prefers the boot leg type. Because of the wide range of tastes there is a corresponding wide range of styles.

Like everybody, jeans do not necessarily fit you straight from the shop and so they need to be altered. Depending on your size and body shape you will need to lengthen or shorten or tighten certain areas. This can make buying jeans a real hassle and so when a good pair is found, multiples are purchased. There are some stores and online sites that cater for these issues.

Some jeans go out of fashion like bell bottoms and high waisted jeans. As is the normal way with fashion, people try to bring it back again. I always say that there is a reason a style of jeans go out of fashion and do it should not be brought back. This is true for jeans only as far as I am concerned.

Overall, women love their jeans. Whether they follow the ever changing fashion trends or stick to their tried and true ten year old jeans, they are a handy and fashionable item of clothing. There is no doubt that this piece of fashion clothing, no matter what style, is here to stay for many many more years to come. 70's Fashion

One of the best ways to use vintage seventies fashion today, is to blend it with more modern looks. The goal is to have a modern-retro fashion look that does not turn your ensemble into something that looks like a costume from the Charlie's Angels set. In general, the 1970s was a time of relaxed and casual fashion. Even many of the work clothes from late in the decade would probably be considered too casual for an office environment today. Spring Fashion 2009 For Women

With St. Patrick's Day behind us, and April promising us a warm springtime, it's time to cast off those heavy, drab, wintry garments and get into something airy and colorful. And women are still looking ultra feminine this year.

In 2008 we saw styles that took us back twenty or so years to the Eighties, and we're still visiting that fashion period. You'll want to choose bright, colorful prints in floral, tropical, or brushstroke patterns. Polka dots will stay popular. You'll see neutral garments, too, but remember to use them as a backdrop for accessories that pop.

Ruffles, bows, and sequins will be everywhere. If you are slender, go for the ruffles along your neckline. If you are fuller figured or have a large bosom, forgo the ruffles but look for smocking or lace trimmings that will catch the eye. No matter what you choose this year, you want to remember two words: COLOR and COUPONS!

Fabrics: For the Feel of It
Thankfully, fabrics are staying swishy and malleable. Look for Jersey knits or polyester mixed with Spandex or Lycra, or polyester/rayon blends. Accessories: Where the Action Is

No matter where you put them, the scarves must be vivid and bold! Shoes will have high heels this year like we've seen on Carrie Bradshaw.
